| Construction of a precast section arch at the inlet of a kiln. | 
		| Description 
 Aberthaw Works has developed a new methodology to replace the arch at the inlet of their kiln. The system uses pre-cast sections. The pre-cast sections are manufactured in a controlled environment and cured in a furnace at the recommended temperature. Bolted anchors are placed in the sections before casting, and these are then used install the arch.
 
 Benefits
 
 •	The sections are of consistent quality, longer lasting and far less prone to failure
 •	Removes hazards previously associated with welding and subsequent weld failures
 •	Operation is a lot quicker minimising exposure to this harsh environment
 •	The use of vibratory equipment and jack has been eliminated
