A concrete mixer truck was travelling along a rural route to a customer site when it lost control on a right-hand corner and rolled over onto a grassed area.
The route has a 50MPH speed limit with multiple changes in camber with the vehicle travelling above 40MPH when it went over.
The driver was not carrying any loose items within the cab which has reduced the potential injuries significantly and was also wearing his seatbelt. The injuries were a slight concussion and a small cut to ear and head.
During the investigation it was found that the road is known for vehicle incidents with two other truck mixers suffering the same fate in the past within other organisations.
There were no other persons or vehicles involved.
