Bardon Aggregates became concerned that trainers/assessors were at risk when training loading shovel operators.
There being no room in the cab for a passenger, the trainer/assessor was obliged to hold onto handrails around the door. A safer alternative was found to be a waistband harness and lanyard. The latter is attached to an anchor point, fitted to the inside of the cab. It has eliminated any risk of a fall from the machine or machinery entrapment.
