Further to the Near Miss Alert issued last month from Washington Premix, the following pictures highlight the protection systems necessary to prevent the sudden collapse of aggregate weigh hoppers.

Safety chains are secured using a substantial bolt and purpose designed lug, welded to a structural girder.
