Staff development days
ARTICLE
Each year, Brett Concrete shuts down its plant for two days to devote time to the development of its staff. This is done so the maximum number of people can be involved including batchers, lab technicians, fitters and area coordinators. As well as receiving training, all personnel have a chance to meet, and to share best practice.

The session examines a variety of elements including technical areas, HSE issues, ‘near hits’ and a range of procedures. Every effort is made to make the sessions interactive, with participation from the delegates to ensure involvement. This has taken the form of competitions and quizzes with prizes for the winning teams.
