Explore manufacturing produce over 300 products a week, some weigh up to 45 tonnes. Each product gets lifted around 5 times to facilitate orientation and storage requirements.
Lifting failures have the potential to cause significant harm to its employees therefore, it is imperative that it has robust processes in place. As it continually evolves its products it strives to ensure that there is a consistency across the facility of how it controls its lifting operations. The operation of a variety of equipment, cranes and lifting accessories is managed and controlled by an engaged crane team.
Explore have invested in its people and equipment to ensure it has suitable skills, knowledge and the risk controls to mitigate and manage the risks associated with lifting the concrete products. It has produced a video that summarises this and covers the following elements
