Across Brett Landscaping’s 4 operating sites, over 50 Fork Lift (FLT) and Grab trucks operate 24 hours/5 days a week.  At times these are operating in tight or restricted areas or in proximity to pedestrians, especially during non-routine lift truck operations.

It was identified that the existing dynamic risk assessment, BrettSafe, it was not suitable for assessing new or unusual lift truck movements or tasks which might arise when operator was

  • Working in tight / restricted areas
  • Working in unfamiliar areas or where additional equipment had been placed in the normal operating area
  • Failure to check the operating area or journey route for new hazards
  • Undertaking infrequent tasks
