Tarmac personnel at Mountsorrel Quarry wanted to reduce the response time for emergency first aid equipment to reach personnel. The solution was the development of the ‘900Hybrid Trauma Kit’.
They had recognised that one of the issues with standard defibrillators was that they were often housed in or on the side of buildings, which caused a delay in response time. By providing a carry trauma kit, the time between finding and travelling to the first aid kit could be eliminated, potentially saving lives. The aim was to change the behaviour of emergency responders and improve their ability to provide timely and effective emergency medical care.
The kit contains a semi-automatic defibrillator that offers guided CPR. This feature allows anyone to administer the product during an emergency, which reduces the time it takes to provide first aid to those in need.
