Theft of Mixer trucks

|
Six mixer trucks have been stolen over a 3 month period (July - Sept 2012) from CEMEX Readymix plants in the North of England (Scunthorpe, Chorley, Huddersfield and Halifax). In some cases retrofitted immobilisers were removed. The thieves were clearly professionals and appear to have taken some care in removing forensic evidence.

More capable immobilisers are required. Kosran is being investigated as a retro fit.
It is of note there appears to be an active market in second hand trucks. As supply fails to meet demand theft appears to be an alternative
